About us

At Finer Connections, we provide compassionate, culturally responsive virtual therapy for adults throughout New York. Wherever you are in your journey, our team is here to help you heal, grow, and feel understood.

Our Approach

At Finer Connections, we believe you are the expert on your own life—and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. We meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that feels right.

We believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. Our goal isn’t simply to reduce symptoms—it’s to help you build lasting skills, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection with yourself.

If childhood experiences or past trauma continue to affect your relationships, confidence, or emotional well-being, we’ll work together to understand those experiences and help you move toward healing at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded and in control. You’ll learn practical coping tools, while also exploring the thoughts and deeper beliefs that may be fueling your anxiety—so you can create lasting change, not just temporary relief.

If you’re experiencing depression, we’ll support you in taking small, meaningful steps toward feeling like yourself again. Whether it’s rebuilding routines, reconnecting with others, or shifting unhelpful thought patterns, we’ll create a plan that fits your life and your needs.

If you’re dealing with low self-esteem or finding it hard to love yourself, we’ll gently explore where those feelings began and help you reshape the beliefs holding you back. Together, we’ll build a stronger sense of self—so you can speak to yourself with kindness, set healthy boundaries, and truly value who you are.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. If you’re ready to feel better, we’re here to help. Reach out today.

Our Therapists

Our team is united by a shared commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care while recognizing that every therapist brings their own unique experience, perspective, and therapeutic style.

Natalie Patience, LCSW

Natalie is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Silverman School of Social Work and has spent more than a decade working in the mental health field, with experience in counseling, advocacy, and leadership.

Natalie is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and believes that our thoughts have a powerful influence on how we feel and behave. Through CBT, she helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and develop greater confidence in their ability to create positive change. While CBT serves as the foundation of her work, she also integrates attachment-based and psychodynamic approaches to provide care that is individualized, compassionate, and holistic.

Natalie works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of childhood trauma. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

As the founder of Finer Connections, Natalie envisioned a collaborative, culturally responsive practice where clients can access high-quality mental health care in a way that is both convenient and personalized. Her goal is to help individuals strengthen their connection to themselves and others while building the tools they need to thrive.

Outside of her professional work, Natalie enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and getting lost in a good book.

Patricia Rameau, LMSW

Patricia is deeply committed to supporting individuals, children, and families through life’s most challenging moments. Raised in the Bronx by immigrant parents from Haiti and Martinique, she brings a culturally grounded and compassionate perspective to her work.

Patricia believes that every person’s story matters. She creates a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood, approaching each relationship with genuine curiosity and care. Her work often focuses on individuals who have experienced abuse and neglect, helping them rebuild confidence, strengthen their identity, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

She values connection as the foundation of healing and is dedicated to walking alongside her clients every step of the way. Through her work, Patricia strives not only to support individual growth but also to contribute to meaningful change within the broader community.

Barbara Tierno, LMSW

With experience across hospital emergency departments, rehabilitation centers, and outpatient programs, Barbara has supported clients facing anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. She works with individuals from young adulthood through later life, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

Barbara practices from a person-centered perspective, helping clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with their inner strengths. She incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
